Booster Prize Rookie Jun Mar Fajardo against Barako's DJ Mbenga

I wanted to watch this match-up between Barako Bull Energy Colas and Petron Blaze Booster, mainly because of Barako Bulls new import, former Lakers player DJ Mbenga. I'm not a fan of Barako Bull though but I am kinda surprise why they have to replace their original import Evan Brock who was impressive in their win against San Mig Coffee Mixers.

But on this game it was the Petron Blaze import Henry Sims and Alex Cabagnot who shined the most. The Booster who was the victim of a 57 points outburst of Meralco Import Eric Dawson. Simply put on their defensive games in this one. They limited Barako's leading local scorer Josh Urbiztondo to just 5 points and clamping on DJ Mbenga who can only muster 14 points with 12 rebounds and a shot block. Clearly Mbenga is still adjusting to the Barako Bull style of play, and even appear tired on some stretches of the game. Even missing a wide open fastbreak two handed dunk.

With the win, the Booster are now in third place tied with sister team Barangay Ginebra San Miguel at 7 wins and 5 losses. Barako Bull on the other hand slid down to ninth place at 4 wins and 8 losses.

Marquez must be Pacman's nemesis.  This has been their 4th fight after controversial  results in their previous bouts.  In this 4th fight between the two, Paquiao is still the "llamado" in Las Vegas but in the auduience, it can be observed that Mexicans really outnumbered the Pinoy fans and the intensive "boo" for Paquiao can be heard in the audience upon his entrance.

The first and 2nd round goes to Pacquaio, being the aggressive one and he dominated the ring.  However, on the 3rd round, hot got knocked out by Marquez.

On the 6th round, Pacquiao was hardly hit by Marquez right hand that landed Pacquiao on the floor.  Pacquiao was immobile on the floor.  He losses to Marquez.

During an interview, Pacquiao was asked if he was careless and he answered yes.  Pacquiao was overconfident.  He is still willing to fight Marquez for the 5th time if given a chance.

Manuel Marquez on the other hand said he was comfortable.  He was well-prepared and said the he knew knocking out Pacuiao is not impossible.  He revealed he worked everything- his speed, strength.  When asked if he is willing to have another fight for Pacquiao, he said he still has to consult his family.  Marquez tells to Pacquiao he is a great fighter.

Is it time for Pacquiao to retire after losing 2 games in a row? Well, let's wait and see.
