Why kairos?

I attended a retreat on the last week of May and the theme was " Kairos in the third millennium". Kairos is a Latin word that means " an opportune time". Hence, our retreat is considered to be " in God's perfect time", that is according to our facilitator and I agree. I never thought that I would be able to join a retreat this year. The scheduled retreat for the group where I belong was on April. I did not join it because it's a 3-day stay-in retreat and I'm a breastfeeding mom. I could not bear not seeing my daughter in three days! I just promise my boss that I'll attend in other groups who'll be having a retreat but at the back of my mind is " I'm sure I'll not be joining retreat anymore for my boss will need me at work...". But God has a way and He has His plans. The last group to have retreat falls on the last week of May and it was my vacation...there's no work! And my boss really reminded me of my promise to her. So there I was...kind of forced to join it. But realization dawned to me when the retreat started. It must have been God's plan that I'll be joining that retreat because it was very enriching. I was spiritually and emotionally nourished, physically refreshed and it was very educative and informative. It somehow changed my perspectives...It was indeed a kairos experience!
